A Day at the Zoo

We had a fantastic time in St. Louis this weekend. It was fun and refreshing to be away but the best part was spending time with our DEAR friends, Josh and Jess and their sweet kiddos!

The Residence Inn treated us right. This is how housekeeping left the girl's bed...pretty cute!

The first day we went to the zoo. Though there were most definately hectic moments like waiting an hour in the car just to find a parking spot) but fortunately looking back - everything seemed just perfect! :)

Here's our gang -

Watching a show - do they look alike or what?!

Their Jadon grew quite fond of my little ladies (and they him) -

Hudson had to get in on the act -

I'm not sure what they were doing here?! Maybe taking a moment to pray?? :)

Whatever it was, they were doing a whole lot of giggling!

He is too cool!

Hudson adores "choo choo's"

The kids begged to ride and we said "Sure!" (that was at the beginning of the day)

Then, we found out that the zoo was FREE but the activities were not!

So needless to say: Tired parents + $5.00 per person = NO train ride.

As you can imagine, the kids weren't happy at all -

But Daddy's cool and told them they could splash water in his face because he changed his mind about the train.

That helped!

It turns out, the parents weren't the only tired ones!

And that was our day at the zoo!

Enjoy your day my friends!

oh bless their hearts! wish I could've given you some of our train passes - i end up with extras as each year passes and we get there less and less. as our renewal deadline for membership closes in, i cash in all our remaining tickets and pass them out to passersby with little ones...catch me next year! (although we're going again tomorrow - cuz the sea lion show is BACK on!!! LUV. IT. - and so does my middle one...)

Yeah! I get to post after my good buddy Karin! I love her don't you?! Anyway, glad you had so much fun at the zoo. I've always had fun their too. St. Louis has so many neat things to offer families.

Fun! Isn't St Louis zoo nice? We went there this time last year as a mini get away before Ella was born. Can't wait to go back with kids.
