Okay, now I'm tired

I think the adrenaline of She Speaks has finally worn off...and now I'm exhausted! We've been housesitting for the past several days and just came home today. As much as it is being in a different environment (with pool and all), it's just not the same as being home.

I feel quite unorganized and a little overwhelmed actually. I've had to be in and out of town (25 min. drive each way) ever since coming home from NC and since I'm used to having everything I need in a 5-10 minute drive...it starts to drain on me.

I am glad to be home but I've kind of got the "must get back to real life" blues. She Speaks was such an amazing weekend that getting back to normal is a bit difficult. I met and bonded with some WONDERFUL girls and then we had to say goodbye. That kind of stinks! But, we'll just have to get together again. It's amazing how close you can become in such a short span of time.

I'll fill you in a little more about my experiences there but for now, we gotta talk PAPER! My girls have recently found joy in coloring, cutting, and taping. I am so glad that they love art because it has never been my thing. They are good...really good and that excites me! But dealing with the paper is sometimes just too much!

Now, I can handle this...

Even, this I don't mind too much...

But, THIS...this is just ridiculous!! :)

Welcome back to reality, right?! :)

Enjoy your Wednesday all!

that is to funny!! I thought only elijah liked tape!!! Its funny how many pieces they need to tape up an art project they did...oh and be careful...I found if you leave the tape on to long it will leave marks on your walls...which is NOT TO FUN!!!

Looks like the girls are going to have to learn the joy of picking up little scraps of paper!!

It is cool they are little budding artists!

Girl, I am right there with you. Back to life. Back to reality. That sound like the name of my next post.

I found your blog through Kelley (Aroma of Joy) and just had to tell you that I laughed out loud at that picture! Oh, the joys of motherhood! :)

We also adopted from Guatemala. Our little girl is 16 months and we enjoy her so much! Thankfully she isn't into cutting paper yet - and my boys aren't into art! :)

Have a great week!
