Here's that white chocolate mocha you've been asking about!

Hello friends! Today I'm feeling quite cozy, but I fear that I'm developing a rather bad habit. You see, I used to call myself a "social drinker," but lately I've been drinking in the afternoons.

Mmmmmm...

Now, before you start worrying about me, I must clarify - I'm drinking COFFEE. I don't even like the other stuff! :)

Outside, it is cold and dark.

But inside my house, little white lights are twinkling, Christmas music is playing softly and the smell of coffee fills the air.

In fact, this is the view from my chair in the office. The picture doesn't quite do it justice because it's even cozier in real life!


Ahhhhhh.

Speaking of coffee, many of you asked me about my homemade white chocolate mocha. Well, actually it's not mine, I have to give credit to our good friends Jeff and Lisa.

Jeff made us these the other night for Clint and me, and I have been hooked ever since. Jeff termed them "the poor man's white chocolate mocha!"

So I decided to let you in on the secret. I have no exact measurements but I have compiled the necessary ingredients for you.


First you dump a TBSP or more of White Chocolate Chips into your cup. Then you add the coffee. Our favorite brand is Eight O'Clock Coffee, yummy!

Let it set for a minute and then stir it until the chips melt. Then add a smidge of milk, really just a smidge. :) Then about 1/3 TB of sugar or to taste. I really don't think it needs that much.

After this step, I always heat up my coffee for another 30 seconds or more so it's piping hot. But I'm strange that way so you may want to skip this step!

Unfortunately, I am out of whipped cream *gasp* but usually I add that along with some lightly sprinkled cinnamon on top and a toss of chocolate sprinkles.

Or for more fun you could tuck few white chocolate chips on top of the cream. That is the best!
